After Dharamshala, our next destination was Amritsar...It is 200km away and 8 hrs journey by road..The city is famous for of Golden temple,The most sacred place for Sikhs...There are two more important places, one should not miss in Amritsar...The Jalianwala Bagh and The Wagah Border..
Our stay was in the Gurudwara itself..If you go by a cab, they only allow the cabs inside the temple premises in between 10 pm -5 am.,because of traffic problems...The rooms are tidy and rent is very reasonable...The temple glitters like anything under the night time lighting..One should not miss the night time view of the temple...

There is a community kitchen called Guru ka Langar in the temple premises...The volunteers working with all dedication busy in serving food for pilgrims.....
Guru ka Langar echoes with sounds of steel vessels and plates..
The plates cleaning process...

Now coming to the most important place to visit in Amritsar-Wagah Border at Attari.... Attari is a village of Amritsar Dt...It is just 3 km. from the Indo-Pakistani border at Wagah.

Its fantastic experience to visit Flag ceremony at Wagah border...Every Indian must see this once..Great to watch The Indian and Pakistani Border soldiers marching aggressively displaying the spirit of patriotism...As it is Indo Pak border and a very sensitive area, the security is very high...They won't allow any bags or cell phones with you...Keeping your passport with you is advisable..
People participating in the ceremony..They danced for patriotic songs with great joy..We can see all the Indians from different states leaving behind their differences of caste and creed, uniting at this particular place, cheering and dancing for India..:-)

Bikram's
That must have been a wonderful experience!
