My kiddoo had gone to school,now its my time...:-) So started writing...First time I heard about this book when I was in school...I got the translated copy in Telugu by HBT....

Suraj ka satvan ghoda is an experimental novel....It is very different from the regular story telling....The protagonist Manek Mulla,is a famous person in the colony where Dharamvir Bharati lives...He tells his friends seven small stories about his love life.. Finally all the 7 stories turns in to one single story...All the characters Tanna,Jamuna,Lilly and Satti represents the Indian low-class medieval lives....The story is all about the hopes,desires and conflicts of their minds...The author beautifully narrated how the 'Love' transforms in to various colours with the social & econimical conditions...
After I completed reading the first story I felt it very funny...But slowly the author made me clear what he wants to explain...Its a very rare story formation...
One amazing thing about this book is every one finds their own colours in this novel....The definitions of the novel can change with individual...The novel challenges the Sarath's definition of love (like Devdas) which is very popular in India till then.....
At one point Manek Mulla quotes,
""The Love which can not contribute to social developement, Is not love""......
Its a very short novel but nice read...Yet to see the movie by Shyam Benegal..

A simple and superb review. I am not sure whether you have read the book veyipadagalu. I do not know how to read telugu and not able to find the translation in english. Did you get to read it? Let me know pls.

Thank you Major saab..:-)I haven't read Veyipadagalu.And I think,I can not.Because it is very higher end literature for my reading capacity..:-)
