Safe haven

I'm currently reading some old texts. Somehow old books reminds us of the lost sensibilities in this current generation. Those are the sensibilities which are quite common to all. Things like basic manners, selflessness, love, human decency, propriety, trust and love for everything that is beautiful including language. The more I read the more I'm able to understand myself. Now I know why I'm obsessed with the period dramas or why I always loved to read old books written by some dead authors. I just want to find a safe haven from all this insanity and madness in the name of modernization.
