il dolce far niente.....
Every once in a while I'd take a break from doing things, except with 'reading' ofcourse. Literally it is like breathing air for me. I can't help it, I was born with an unusually intense wanderlust, I want to know things.
Nevertheless years of uninterrupted reading, thus constantly feeding my brain with multiple ideas, ideologies felt like exhausting. My thirst for knowledge knows no bounds. With my insatiable curiosity sometimes I feel like a drug addict when it comes to reading, I need that mental stimulation that reading alone provides. And I always prefer the company of dead authors to the living people, trust me most of them are crashing bores.
Reading gives you the ability to put yourself in others shoes, to be able to think from multiple angles of any given idea. However long story short, recently I felt like "let us stop here."
I took a much needed a break from reading (which I usually do once on a while) for a couple of weeks (Goodness gracious!!!! I survived without my essential drug !!! ) I stopped being 'on the move'. I enjoyed the joy of doing nothing and just existing. Disengaged and detached. For few days I was only being an observer of life. As they say, it is the quiet observer who see the most.
All set to welcome another brand new year.
It's time to make old mistakes in different ways. Hurray !!!!
