Here's a toast to new beginnings

Again here I'm, in my insignificant cozy corner of the universe to relish few moments of quiet in the otherwise busy day.

"Wisdom…comes not from age, but from education and learning.” -Anton Chekhov.

The year end is near. And when I look back, Whoa !!! What a journey !! The previous years were roller coaster rides for me. I learnt alot, wised up a little. With new wisdom, life lessons and changed outlook towards life I feel like I am stronger than ever. Seems I changed a lot in these couple of years so much so that I do not recognize / relate to the previous versions of myself anymore. I'm no longer that person anymore for that matter.

I moved on from people and places, cut off my emotional, spiritual ties with the environments that no longer serve me on this new path. Not to be rude, but let me be honest, right now they have absolutely nothing new to teach me. It's not against anything or personal but we all need to find our own paths. I realized my journey is different from those around me. Not trying to be superficial but I crave different things from life, and yes there are very few things on this planet that hold my attention, I get easily bored.

However I believe everything you outgrow from is eventually replaced with something better. New people, new places, new authors, new books, new worlds, new perspectives. It's brand new world out there and I'm fortunate enough to find few people who are guiding me on this new path. So here I'm, starting on a new journey. To learn something new and exciting on the way. And I keep on learning till the end. Because,

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” - Socrates.

Here I'm sharing few of my favorite Oliver sayings on wisdom :

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do

with your one wild and precious life?”

― Mary Oliver.

-----–------------–-----------------------–-

“Still, what I want in my life

is to be willing

to be dazzled—

to cast aside the weight of facts

and maybe even

to float a little

above this difficult world.

I want to believe I am looking

into the white fire of a great mystery.

I want to believe that the imperfections are nothing—

that the light is everything—that it is more than the sum

of each flawed blossom rising and falling. And I do.”

― Mary Oliver, House of Light.
