Godavari Glory

Rajahmundry..A heaven called my hometown..:-) It is on the banks of the very famous river Godavari..The best things about this place are its cultural heritage, the plain hearted people, the green fields, the traditions and the holy Godavari river.

Here are the few pics of my place..I tried to capture Godavari in different moods.Pls click on the images to have a bigger view..:-)

The best hangout place....:-)

The sunset is the beautiful view from the river

It seems to be very tired in the evening...

The fishermen..

A glance from the train that confirms we are very nearer to our hometown..:-)

The early morning view..

Time to go home

The statue of Gowtham Maharshi at Iskon temple

The Godavari maatha..

This is the statue of famous Telugu legendary comedian Shree Raja babu on the banks of the river

The God that guards our town,Markendeya Swamy temple

This was built during Godavari Pushkaraalu...

  35. Godavari, a beauty, one is never tired of watching its flow. The mornings and evenings are the best times. When the train thunders over the bridge, the sight of the river gladdens the heart.

    Lovely photographs.
